FREE Spicy Wonton Cooking Workshop for Teens

This is a free cooking workshop for teens aged 14-18.

The purpose of this class is to introduce young adults on Salt Spring Island to Chinese ingredients and cooking techniques.

In this two-hour workshop, we will learn how to make spicy pork and prawn wontons with chilli oil and black vinegar and, in the process, give you some of the tools you need to start cooking Chinese food at home.

Spicy, salty, sour… all the good things. This will be a wonderful way to spend a Thursday night!

Get your kid to join this class if they love to cook, eat, and explore new flavours.

Only sign up for the class if you can 100% make it. There are limited spots available and not showing up will deprive another person of the chance of attending.

Learn the art of khao soi as chef Haan teaches you how to make this incredibly tasty Thai delicacy from scratch.

Rich coconut broth, fragrant homemade curry paste, crispy fried noodles garnish, chilli oil, bean sprouts, and lime. Khao soi is truly one of the best noodle dishes on the planet.

In this class you will learn how to make this entirely from scratch from the curry pastes to the soup to the toasted chilli garnish.

After we have all done making this delicious bowl of noodles, we will enjoy them together!

We are back! @saftasfalafel is back Friday November 20th at @parisparisbar from 12pm-5pm. We will be changing it up a bit with a delicious Sabich sandwich. Fried eggplant, zhug, 10hour cooked eggs, salatim, tahini, amba (sour mango condiment) and a bunch of other wonderful deliciousness stuffed into a pita. Woot. It’s gonna be good. Take out or sit on the patio with a glass of wine (the patio is first come first serve).
